Have you ever started a romance through dating app? Do you contact your friend through messaging more than face-to-face conversation? Have you ever felt more comfortable to be with your phone than talking to the person in front of you, even your family or your partner?

R U HERE is a participatory performance which explores the new mode of digital romance/friendship, questioning how instant messaging alters the way one-to-one communication takes place, reshaping the experience of close relationships in a domestic scenario.

Invite a friend/partner you get to know each other from social media, or you maintain the relationship through instant messaging constantly to join the event. You will explore the house together with the performer to see how will the extreme of digital domestic life would be.
